Cadillac Lyriq

_

Immersive film for Cadillac’s first all electric car shown in Miami

Volvox Labs brought me on to design and animate the first Act of an immersive project for Cadillac. The first Act comprised of images of Cadillac dating back to 1902 to showcase the vast history of Cadillac and their milestones. With canvas size of 7040 x 3940px, this was by far the largest project I’ve worked on with the longest render time.

Act 1 design and animation I was in charge of.

Template used for this project. The second image shows a pre-viz 3D room with the template.

The first Act had a second component to it that showcased the evolution of car parts, but it unfortunately did not make it into the final project. The animation featured evolutions of the brake, chassis, steering wheel, engine and transmission and all the images used were either scans or photos of blueprints provided by Cadillac.
Brake, engine, steering wheel and the cars on the floor were animated by Asher Eggleston, and I was in charge of background animation, chassis, steering wheel, conforming and QC-ing.
